Forum Rules!

Welcome to the Goldenwings Guild Forum

I hope you enjoy your stay.

THE FORUM RULES!!

Before using your forum account, please read and understand the board rules and guidelines. Posting in the forums means that you agree to these guidelines and vow to obey them at all times. It also means that you are aware of the penalties that come with breaking the rules and acknowledge them as valid and reasonable.

The Community Forum was made to give members a relaxed, friendly, and productive environment to gather in and interact with each other. In order to achieve and maintain this setting, we implement the following guidelines:

RULES OF CONDUCT!!

So first of all, read before you post in a thread. No one wants to see a post that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. That's not good. Try to know the search button please. It's your best friend here. Especially with questions that might already have answers. Don't forget to exercise common sense with everything you do. You aren't a 10 year old who doesn't understand what we do anyway. On and on the subject of posting, try not to use too many flashy/overly abusive language. That's a no-no, even for some of your admins who like using words like that. Keep feedback constructive and straight-forward, but don't be too mean to who you're giving your feedback too. And with that point in mind, be civil and respect the opinions of others. If you get a bad critic of a post, don't try to tear out that person's eyes. They might be telling the truth, you know! Oh, and another added note, try not to go off-topic. It works in conjunction with our first rule. If you want to talk about anything other than guild matters and concerns, then go post in the Spam Chat Discussions. It was made for that purpose. Don't forget to respect the authority of the moderators and administrators, please. They work hard and by pissing them off, you're just going to get them to do stuff to you. That's all.

We're done with conduct, now let's go to something that most people don't really bother to check with. Member names. Silly huh? No, not really. Avoid the following:


Avoid impersonating forum moderators and administrators
Avoid using major religions/religious figures
Avoid using names that involve illegal drugs and other criminal activities
Avoid indecent and vulgar words
Avoid offensive names
Avoid long names that clutter the board

This guide would explain, but that might take ten or more threads. They're just common sense, okay?

LIST OF RULES AND PUNISHMENTS!!

FLAMING - Insults and offensive comments, especially those that aim to deceive others and incite fights, will not be tolerated. Flame threads only destroy healthy relationships and positive interaction in the community.

Penalty
1st offense ~ thread lock
2nd offense ~ 5 days ban
3rd offense ~ account ban


SPAMMING - Posting pointless, unrelated, or redundant comments is called spamming and may appear in the form of bumping, double posting, and cross posting. Spamming only clutters the forums and makes discussions confusing.

Bumping ~ Posting unnecessary comments in order to keep a thread on top. No bumping before 24hours.
Double Posting ~ multiple or repeated posting to increase post count. This also includes bumping a post within 24hours.
Cross Posting ~ posting on multiple sections and/or threads. If you are unsure on where to post, choose the single most appropriate section of the forum.


Penalty
1st offense ~ delete spam posts
2nd offense ~ 3 days ban
3rd offense ~ account ban


HARASSMENT - Relentless posting of offensive, judgmental, racist, sexist, or unfounded comments and accusations against other forumers, or groups of people is strictly prohibited. Again, we must treat this forum as a venue for fostering camaraderie among community members. There are proper sections in the forums for your complaints and reports.

2nd offense ~ 5 days ban
3rd offense ~ account ban


PLAGIARISM - Defined as claiming any written work that is/was made by another person. Plagiarism is one of the most heinous crimes a person can commit against his fellow writer, especially if the accuse denies his crime. The forum will take plagiarism seriously, one admin will make sure plagiarists pay.

1st offense ~ send warning
2nd offense ~ delete all posts and account ban


IMPERSONATION - Pretending or claiming to be an existing Forum Administrators, or forum staff with the intent of abusing their influence, authority, or privileges is highly condemned in the forums.

Penalty
1st offense ~ account ban


LEET LANGUAGE AND ALL CAPS - USE OF CAPITAL LETTERS in a post is discouraged. You can emphasize a particular word, a subject or sentence for clarification and emphasizing a point but not the whole or majority of the post.

Penalty
1st offense ~ send warning
2nd offense ~ delete all posts


PERSONAL INFORMATION - Posting personal information without the consent of the person or people concerned will be deleted. This includes but is not limited to email address, contact number, photos and account information.

Penalty
1st offense ~ delete thread
2nd offense ~ 3 days ban
3rd offense ~ 5 days ban


MAJOR RELIGIONS / RELIGIOUS FIGURES - Posts that include clear or masked language and/or link that negatively portray major religions or religious figures will be penalized.

Penalty
1st offense ~ thread lock
2nd offense ~ 1 day ban
3rd offense ~ 3 to 5 days ban


PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS - Posts, threads, and/or links that promote sexual acts will be removed immediately. Keep in mind that the our forum community is open for all ages.

Penalty
1st offense ~ 3 days ban
2nd offense ~ 5 days ban
3rd offense ~ account ban


Some additional rules are:

Unnecessary posts and threads will be immediately DELETED.
Any attempt to get around the rules will be penalized.
Caught violators should be reported on the Detention Hall forums for evaluation.
Repeat violators of the forum guidelines will be warned first before enforcing account ban or deletion.

Forum Administrators reserve the right to ban a member, modify/delete posts and/or thread that are deemed irrelevant and/or abusive, and violates the board rules.

The administrators of this site together with the forum moderators reserve the right to access and view all materials, edit the subject of a post, move topics, clarify and delete all materials deemed inappropriate or disruptive. There will also be periodic maintenance of the forums to minimize the clutter resulting from too many threads and useless posts.

Claiming ignorance is not an excuse for violating the forum guidelines. Rules are subject to the interpretation of the Admins/Moderators. If you have issues or problems concerning our services, policies, or staff, please use a personal message system of the forums or email one of the Forum Administrators/Moderators for assistance.

We take serious concerns to heart and will do our best to address them.

And I monitor my own forums and ran a few guild forums from time to time so I think I can get it but if I do need help I'll pm you about it :P

ive been stressed out on people asking me for invites in forum and in game and i dont know what to do first >.<

By the way do we still gonna have the black market?? i mean the Gold Points??

well, it's your call

perhaps you can start hunting something and put it in the guild warehouse and put it on black market on auction (only accept gold point of course)

this is one way of helping guildies get better gear and make them more active in the forum, since they need gold point to purchase the item.

the highest bidder go home with the said item.

or option 2: remove the black market once and for all, lol

I personally liked the black market but if he doesn't want to start it we won't deal with it. But yeah it'd be helpful to some but not to others.

i also like the BlackMarket to be able for members to be active in forum

maybe ill try to ask gaijin that we manage the BlackMarket since we have been partners doing Boss Hunt ^_^

Ok the Spamm has really been getting out of hand recently so please guys remember

NO
Spaming -> Will be deleted
Speedposting -> Will be deleted (At least 1 Hour between Posts) EXAMPLE
Insults -> Deleted and 1 Warning (Unless the game is about it)
Trolling -> Will be deleted

Actually levi they are allowed to talk back and forth on posts. Double posting is speedposting. To make them post an hour between the last time they posted is a bit much. Just delete what isn't related to the topic to make it look clean.
